His quotes about never wanting to be traded away and having his heart in Boston, following the Sox on ESPN every day….he is a Red Sox through and through and belongs in the Sox Hall of Fame along with the rest of the 2004 and 2007 teams. His value was in catching the fluttering knuckler, and purportedly in the clubhouse. He also had a long tenure with the club, and won’t be forgotten by Red Sox Nation. Thanks for being part of it, Doug!
